Doug Napier's 1964 Falcon "Gasser"
Not too long after purchase, the car had undergone a transformation to its current color. Doug a body-man by trade and a car guy to heart had set out on making his dream become a reality. With the help of a friend at his work Doug took his Falcon to the next level and repainted it to vibrant deep purple doing most of the work himself, the paint had cured in 1996.
Still with an idea almost complete, Doug was waiting for his next venture with his Falcon. So only putting a few thousand miles on a year, and some 12 years later, the quest had started again. “THE DIRTY BIRD” Doug had always dreamed of a gasser, and loved and admired all of the nostalgia gars of the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s, and wanted to add some finishing touches to his car….. Along comes the straight axle.
With the purchase of his straight axle, front disc brake kit, sub-frame connectors and a little elbow grease, (and let’s not forget the help of friends), the Falcon started undergoing the change as to which you now see it. A replica, vintage style, GASSER!
